WHAT NOT BRING - ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE SCHOOL SUPPLIES
-A computer printer. Utilize our on-campus printing sources using your print quota or submit items electronically.
-Incandescent light bulbs. Facilities will replace overhead light fixture bulbs (LED or compact fluorescent bulbs) for your convenience and safety purposes. Any desk or floor lamp bulbs are replaced by the student.
-Your own laptop. All full-time undergraduate students all receive a MacBook upon arrival
You should NOT bring the following items, which are banned from the residence halls for safety reasons(Chatham University reserves the right to add items to this list as deemed necessary):
-pets (excluding aquarium fish or any PRE-APPROVED service, emotional support or therapy animals)
-candles, incense, oil burners, or wax warmers
-personal mini-fridges or microwaves (Must rent via https://www.mymicrofridge.com)
-“flushable” toilet wipes
-halogen lamps of any wattage
-space heater (unless provided by the University)
-air conditioners(unless approved for use)
-waterbeds, bed lofts, kits for stacking furniture
-explosives, ammunition, flares, or other dangerous weapons (ex. pocket knives larger than 2 ½ inches long)
-hot plates, toaster/toaster ovens, or any other appliance with an exposed heating coil (only permitted in Common-area and Apartments kitchens)
