WHAT NOT BRING - ✖ Pets other than fish and hermit crabs in tanks of 10 gallons or less
✖ Halogen or lava lamps and incandescent bulbs
✖ Candles even if decorative or are never lit, wax or potpourri burners, incense, fireworks, lighter fluid or other incendiary devices or materials.
✖ Tapestries, curtains, or draperies unless with a tag displaying certified as noncombustible and flame resistant (or fully treated with fire retardant spray with saved receipt and cans kept in the room throughout the year). Note: window shades are provided.
✖ Extension cords or power cubes/strips unless multiple outlet-type with built-in fuses and/or surge protection
✖ Any smoking material such as tobacco, cigarettes, pipes, hookas or electronic smoking devices. Hood College is a smoke-free campus.
✖ Refrigerators larger than 4.5 cubic feet. Only one mini refrigerator is permitted in a single, double or triple room, while quads may have two mini refrigerators. Fridges must be plugged directly into the wall.
✖ Hot plates, toaster ovens, space heaters, electric blankets, cooking appliances, electronic aroma diffusers, or anything with an open heating element.
✖ Firearms, hunting knives, ammunition, bows, arrows or any other items that are or could be classified as weapons
✖ Your own desk, dresser, bed, mattress or desk chair; all College furnishings must remain in the student rooms
