WHAT NOT BRING - For your safety and the safety of your fellow residents, the following items are not permitted in the residence halls: • Air conditioning units (window or room units) • Portable space heaters • Hot plates, toaster ovens, microwaves, electric skillets, coffee/hot water pots, sandwich grills, juicer and other electrical cooking appliances • Non-institutional furniture/mattresses • Inflatable furniture/mattresses • Floor/door mirror • Candles, incense, air freshener with plug-in adapter • Extension cords, multiple-plug adapters, power strips without circuit breakers, Halogen lamps • Pets (Office of Specialized Services approval needed) • Power tools • DJ equipment, gym equipment, weights, boom boxes, large speakers • Curtains, banners, hanging fabrics, flags, wall posters (entire wall cannot be covered) • Alcohol/drugs and related paraphernalia … i.e. empty containers, pictures • Weapons, items perceived as weapons (no exceptions) • Non-approved holiday decorations (approval needed) • Masking tape
