WHAT NOT BRING - Personal appliances, which may include washing machines and dishwashers, as well as space heaters, are not allowed in graduate housing, whether it is the dormitories or apartments. If there is a special need, it is necessary to talk with the appropriate manager to see if any exception can be made. Air-conditioning units are not permitted in the dormitories. The fine of $100 per appliance will be assessed for the discovery of the appliance and may include termination of the housing contract.
Pets are not permitted in the Graduate Apartments. Exceptions are made for small animals such as gerbils, hamsters, or fish that are kept in a sanitary fashion indoors in cages or tanks are permitted. In the Graduate Dormitories, only FISH kept in a ten-gallon tank or smaller can be kept in a student room. Confirmation that the pet policy has been violated will result in a $50/day fine until the issue is resolved and may include immediate termination of the current contract.
